Growing Older Gracefully Doesn’t Mean Embracing Every Wrinkle

When I look back at the photos of my mom and aunts, the hairstyles and 80’s clothes alone can be a cruel rewind. Add the 80’s fashion of high shoulder pads and oversized eyeglasses and I’d hide behind the blanket if you take a picture of me back then. But now, 40 is the new 30, plenty of women I know look younger than their age. A lot of forty something women I see are simply ageless! Look at beauty magazines, and the anti aging department seemed to be even more segmented into 30’s skin care, 40’s skin care, and for women in their prime as I see Helen Mirren rocking the L’Oreal Age Perfect Face Cream line! I hope the beauty brand’s executive took her strange comment with a pinch of salt. Honestly, it just made skin care and beauty more real for me.
With the many choices in skin care that delay time, let have a look at the right products and the best habits that make the stamp of time less cruel. Basic hygiene gets supplemented by skin care products with active ingredients. To fight aging, we also need to develop habits that will match the potency of our skin care products! Cleanse
Cleansing is the basic thing you should do to ensure clear, youthful skin. It’s the most basic way you can fight aging and have a healthy glow. Just one night of not cleaning your face can make sebum, oil and dead skin cells get dislodged in your skin causes wrinkles and impurities.

Take Advantage of Face Oils
The word oil was almost taboo in my sebum-excessive teen years.
Thanks to advanced research, oil is no longer demonized, and with the abundance of face oils in the heath and beauty aisle, it is now realized that oil pulls out oil from pores so it can actually help clean.
Non-comedogenic face oils that are enriched with vitamins, give the face that dewiness and radiance on freshly cleaned skin. My personal favorite is Clarins Face Oil which has been around for decades. What I do is to apply this first thing to still slightly damp cleaned skin. Then I follow it with an ampoule to really plump the skin. Then it’s followed by my night cream. The delicious scent of the oil makes it feel such a luxurious at home skin treatment. This is my go-to product to look younger without having to layer another product with ingredients I can’t even pronounce.
